Will Rogers once said, "Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there." Management Success! not only put us on the right track, but taught us never to sit still!

I have been in this business for over 25 years and the first 15 years I spent most of my time running around with my hair on fire. I am a great tech, the best one in town, but I was clueless on how to run a business. The harder I worked and the more I expanded, the deeper in trouble I got. I had received and thrown out a bunch of flyers from Management Success. Then life got to a critical point and I sat down with my wife and said, something has got to change.

Before we attended the Management Success seminar in 1997, we spent too much time just sitting there and hoping things would change. We were overwhelmed with problems and lacked the tools to handle them. Not knowing what to do, we did nothing differently but work harder and longer at being unprofitable. Our house was in arrears, and we owed over $32,000 in back taxes plus interest and penalties. All of our accounts were behind, including our rent, credit cards and vendor accounts. We were barely making payroll for our employees while our own pay checks sat in the drawer not cashed. My wife babysat to help feed our four children while I worked seven days a week for twelve to fifteen hours a day. We did not have a family life and our marriage was suffering because of all this stress.

We were about to lose it all when I picked the Management Success! brochure out of the garbage. We attended the two-day seminar in Tarrytown, New York. I sat there thinking, how can this guy know this much about me? The change the seminar made in our lives was awesome. We now had a plan! And it was not the old "Work Harder and Longer Plan".

Today we are astounded at all we were able to accomplish with the help of Management Success, one of the highlights being the purchase of our building in 2001. Our bank was so impressed with the way we ran our business that the finance process was quick and painless; our use of the weekly statistics and graphs so impressed one of the bankers that he quipped, "Wow! You run this like a real business!!"

Since we learned how to run Knight's Automotive like a real business we were able to get a real life. In fact the most valuable thing we gained from Management Success was our family life. Things like vacations, coaching and even college educations were unheard of before. Now they are our reality. For this in particular we are most grateful to Management Success. Sure the money is great and allows us to do all these things, but the time with our family is, to coin a well known commercial phrase, "priceless".

Thank you again, to you and your entire staff for changing our lives. Management Success is without a doubt the best investment we have ever made.
